About the Print

Lovelight is an enchanted woodland fairytale brought to life through the magical illustrations of artist Charles van Sandwyck, a world-renowned illustrator beloved for his luminous, old-world watercolours. His work, steeped in folklore, whimsy, and gentleness, evokes the charm of Golden Age illustrators while honoring nature’s secret corners.

The design is a collage of Charles’ most enchanting motifs:

A guardian swallow carrying a lantern that cradles a glowing star.
A delicate moth rendered in soft watercolour.
A star-dappled fawn curled in the moonlit woods.
The border is edged with Charles’ own poetry:
“I had a dream in dark of night, before the hills were kissed with light.”

At its heart, Lovelight is a tribute to the radiance each of us carries within — the glow of kindness, creativity, and love.

Shipping & returns

Orders are sent via the best way and include USPS Ground, 1st Class & Priority, UPS & Fedex. Shipping confirmation will be emailed to you upon shipment. Ships Monday through Friday from Mineola Texas.

Returns accepted on other apparel items within 10 days of receipt. You must contact us to start a return. Any return must be in new condition, unworn/unused, with tags attached.

All other items, such as vintage/one of a kind, gourmet food items, holiday/seasonal, etc. are final sale, no returns accepted.

Payments & Layaway

LAYAWAY PROGRAM:

We have a layaway program at the Periwinkle Shoppe. We require 20% down, with the balance to be paid off within 90 days. We do not require regularly scheduled payments, so you can pay as you need, however, we are not able to store or run your credit card, so you will need to inform us when you wish to make a payment so that we can send you an invoice. Please note that any canceled layaways will receive a store credit only. Regular return policy applies to layaway items.
