Momento is our reimagining of the traditional memento mori, a phrase once used to remind us of life's impermanence. Rather than dwelling on what fades, this piece turns its gaze toward what endures: love, truth, wonder, the beauty of the life we are living right now.
At the heart of the design are two starlings, silhouetted against a luminous full moon, companions in flight moving together through the dark. Gathered around them are time honored symbols: a skull softened by flowers, luna moths and butterflies mid transformation, sheaves of wheat, and sparrows nestled among the branches. Beneath it all, a banner reads Memento Vivere, remember to live.
