The Momento Collection is Market of Stars’ poetic reimagining of the traditional memento mori, a phrase once used to remind us of life’s impermanence. But rather than focusing on what fades, Momento turns its gaze toward what remains:

The Story Behind the Artwork

At the center of the collection, two starlings glide across a glowing full moon, companions moving together through darkness and light.

Surrounding them are richly symbolic elements layered throughout the artwork:

• Flower-softened skulls
• Luna moths and butterflies mid-transformation
• Wheat sheaves symbolizing abundance
• Sparrows hidden among branches
