CloseLove Grows Wild is a long, flowing maxi slip dress built for warm days and slow evenings. The bodice sits on delicate straps with a soft, easy drape through the body, giving it that effortless, undone bohemian quality that feels as good as it looks.
One of our favorite details on this piece is that it can be worn two ways. The bee, tucked into the botanical print, can sit on the front of the bodice or be turned to the back, so you can wear it however suits your mood that day. It is a small detail, but it makes this dress feel a little more personal every time you put it on.
Because our viscose has a naturally soft, slightly sheer quality, we recommend wearing a full or half slip underneath for coverage. Once layered, the dress moves beautifully, catching light and air with every step.
This lush botanical print comes from the 12 Months of Flowers, a series of beautiful hand colored etchings from the 1700s. The prints were originally commissioned by English gardener Robert Furber and published as a catalogue of flowers and seeds for his customers to choose from.
We chose the Spring engravings for this piece because of their delightfully detailed blooms, then layered the flowers together to create a fuller, more romantic garden feel. The result is a print that feels both historic and completely fresh, rich with the kind of detail you notice more each time you wear it.
